As before, I took the company&#8217;s advice and waited 4 weeks from roast date to crack open the bag. It was WELL worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whole bean: Guava and cheesecake! My goodness, what a unique aroma. I was entranced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>French press: I visited Porto&#8217;s Bakery once while in the Los Angeles area, and one particular pastry the bakery is known for is their <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/store.portosbakery.com\/products\/refugiado\u2122-guava-cheese-pastry\" target=\"_blank\">Refugiado<\/a> (guava and cheese strudel) &#8211; similar to pastelitos. This coffee smells and tastes just like those. What a revelation. Creamy, tangy, complex and so satisfying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chemex: Less guava flavor in this cup but still has a rich taste. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clever Dripper: Great sweetness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hario V60: Strong, tangy guava flavor again, but without the creamy character of the French press cup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Summary: If you like guava and cheesecake, this coffee will be an utter treat.
